Dwellers are those who live only in the deep caves and galleries of the Underground, which is a strange and dangerous place where weird monsters lurk and insect-like creatures crawl. Dwellers are used to see throught the perpetual darkness of the deeps caverns but are blinded by the diurnal light hich they avoid. Masters of survival they usually trust no one, not even those of the same kind, but only those of their own tribe. Dwellers are the most ferl and primitive of their kind and do not obtain any Cutie Mark at all.
Free-runners where once those Dwellers who venturerd on the Surface and then decided to live there, slowly adapting to the daylight, while some of them still possess their ancient darkvision. Less suspicious but still serious, they care not about how the Equestrian Society works, but still live on the edge of the civilization, usually bcoming guides, hunters or pathfinders. Free-runners live in the wild areas or nearby small settlements or cities but are often associated to Nightmare Moon rather than Princess Luna, mostly for their feral appearance.
Some of them are capable to obtaina Cutie Mark.
City Born are those who accepted the Equestrian Socity long time ago, while still maintaining a sort of heritage from their primeval ancestors. While seen as a bunch of wussies by both Dwellers and Free-runners, at least the lattest still try to tolerate them. Even so, City Born Night Pegasi where once selected as Royal Guards for Princess Luna, so they managed to obtain more respect and prestige than those more barbaric of their kind, and even maintaining it after the War of the Two Sisters and the Banishment of Nightmare Moon.
The Character drawn in this sketch is Klagelied: a Night Pegasus Bounty Hunter.
Even if he is a Free-runner he inherited the Darkvision from one of his parents and thus he is able to see throught darkness, but is forced to wear darkened Goggles during daytime.
His name means Dirge.
