I know its a joke, but I personally like to think that Mud Briar’s definition of “stick abuse” is more nuanced than that. After all to even get a stick you have to tear it off a tree, and he was outright touched that Pinkie brought him a stick that judging by the leaves was broken off a living tree.

In short perhaps he sees “stick abuse” as using a stick for something frivolous. i.e. a pinata is a waste, a house isn’t.
