  • Ambrosia is the second-born daughter to Applejack and the fraternal twin sister to Bailey Sweet. Amber is 8 minutes younger than her sister. Applejack was getting foal fever when her friends around her were started to settle down and get pregnant so she weighed her options and thought finding a sire would be her best option. The sire was a complete mystery to AJ until her twins were born–she’d recognize those Clydesdale genes anywhere.

  • Growing up the twins saw their mom a superhero, admiring the long hours she put in on the farm but still managing to find the time to take the twins on a hayride around the orchard or to sing the girls around the barn to music and giggles. The girls were still really small when their great-Granny Smith passed. They watched their mother buck up and put on a brave face so her family had time to mourn while farm chores could still be done. Amber had to convince her sister but the two of them started getting up before dawn and helping their mama with chores until their Uncle McIntosh and Aunt Apple Bloom was feeling good enough to get back to work. Amber found it funny when her aunt and uncle felt better that Bailey started to sleep in more and more while she continued the same daily routine. Thanks to her Clydesdale genes the little filly was as strong as an adult mare and could keep up with the grown-ups with ease.

  • One day when the twins were just arriving home from school, their mama had burst into their room excited telling the girls to pack a bag because she had a surprise for them. A mixture of confused and excited, the girls packed their bag and hurried downstairs and met up with their Mama and Aunt Fluttershy. On the way into town, the two adults explained to their foals that they were going on a trip to see an old friend whose daughter needed a friend. Arriving at the Castle of Friendship Amber couldn’t have been more excited that she’d be meeting royalty! Seeing that her sister was shy and hiding under their Mama’s legs Amber took it upon herself to be as outgoing as she could–being sure to remember everypony’s names that she read on the back of old photos their Mama showed them.

  • When AJ nudged her daughters into the nursery to play, Amber left Bailey to play blocks while she took to admiring all the beautiful murals on the wall. A filly that was introduced to her as Sunswirl Sparkle came up to her and started chatting her up about the mural, colors, and painting in general–as in depth of a conversation as two six-year olds could have. Sunswirl noticed that the filly Daybreak Glimmer was reading all alone in the corner so she and Amber both agreed to keep her company.

  • Ambrosia befriended the foals that fateful day but she never grew as close to them as her sister did. One day while helping her Mama sort through family photos she found a photo of her grandparents–Bright McIntosh and Pear Butter. Amber brought the photo to Applejack asking why Nana Pear and Papa McIntosh weren’t around. Applejack explained that one day the two of them went on a delivery to a village near the edge of Equestria and were never heard from again. Amber started asking more and more questions about how the two met, what they were like, so on and so forth. Applejack and Amber, and Bailey too, spent the rest of the night by candlelight talking about the lost Apples. In the morning Amber felt a fire in her soul that had to be released with paint and a brush. She grabbed the ladder out of the barn and painted away all day–creating a massive mural on the side of the barn commemorating the story of her grandparents. As she was climbing down, covered head to hoof in paint, Applejack came around the corner to let Amber know dinner was ready and exclaimed–nearly scaring the life out of the filly. Her Mama grabbed an old rag and rubbed the paint off her daughter’s flank and revealed her shiny new cutie mark. Amber said she didn’t even notice it appear due to her working all day. Since that day Ambrosia has always wore a buttercup in her ear to remind her of her Nana Pear Butter she never got to meet.

  • As a teenager she and her sister received a letter in the mail from a stallion introducing himself as Trouble Shoes. The stallion apparently was wanting to meet the two teenage mares and was apologizing for his absence these past few years. Confused, the girls went to their Mama who explained the special way the two were brought into the world and how Trouble Shoes was technically their father and left the decision up to them. The girls of course wrote back immediately agreeing to meet the stallion and his family and a few days later a large wagon rolled up on the orchard and out of the back barreled an ecstatic very big mare who introduced herself as their sister and wrapped the two girls in a huge bear hug. When the stallion appeared next to his wife the twins greeted him warmly like he’d been there their whole lives and embraced him.

  • Currently Ambrosia is attending college on the weekends for art, all while juggling family matters, farm chores, and doing rodeo make-up for her sister Everfree and her rodeo friends. Amber is working towards becoming an art teacher for the school in Ponyville.

This girl

I had a blast making her! It’s hard to tell but she has a more Fluttershy-y eye shape
Combined Big Mac and Trouble Shoes’ coats, more brown than red. Combined Pear Butter and Trouble Shoes’ coats for markings, more of a fleshy color. Pear Butter’s eye color. Bright Mac’s base mane color with pear Butter’s for eyelights, duller due to the darkness of of Trouble Shoes’ mane. I feel like I made a pretty damn good TroubleJack foal–and I don’t even ship it that much.
