“Geez, I can’t believe we lost Diamond to that stupid guy!” Thunderclap plopped down into her seat and groaned in exasperation.
 
”Yeah…” Motocross agreed. “She hasn’t been around ever since she got with him. It’s like she don’t even know us anymore.”
 
Pippin sighed and slumped her head on the table. “Well, at least she’s happy. Ain’t that what we wanted for her?” She turned her gaze sadly towards the unicorn and her boyfriend across the room.
 
“That’s what Flower said…” Motor sighed and patted the earth pony’s back. “But Pips, you’re not happy. None of us are happy. Is her relationship really worth ditchin’ us?”
 
”EXACTLY!” Thunder banged a hoof on the table. “And all because of HIM! That cunt!”
 
”Hey! Mom said no cussing!“
 
“I don’t care! He is a cunt! He’s leading her on for his lame ‘reputation’ and she’s not gonna notice till he leaves her in the dirt! You’ve seen him making googly eyes at that Vanhoover chick! He’ll dump her in no time!”
 
”Thunderclap!” Pippin argued, sadness giving way to anger. “Can’t ya think about her feelings for once? Y’all know she’s happy. Happier than I’ve ever seen ‘er. She ain’t dumb, y’know. She probably sees something in him we don’t. Something she never saw in…in…”
 
”Something she never saw in you?” Thunder shook her head. “She’s not dumb, but she’s forgotten who her real friends are. And it sure as hay isn’t ‘Sir Collarbone’ and his cronies.” She waved a hoof mockingly for effect. “And Pips, we all know how much you like her. You can’t just let yourself be miserable while she runs off with some guy who doesn’t give a buck!”
 
”Thunder has a point,” Motocross agreed. “Are you really gonna let her go that easy? Face it, pretending to date us guys ain’t helping you get over her. What you got is more than some dumb girl’s crush.”
 
Thunder nudged Pippin firmly but encouragingly. “That’s why you gotta buck up and go after her! Don’t let her settle for that pile of manure when she could have you! I’m no love expert, but you gotta tell her what you’re thinking. You’ll feel better and maybe she’ll finally see the light for once.”
 
”I dunno…”
 
”Come on. It’ll be better for all of us. Can’t you at least try?”
 
Pippin nodded halfheartedly and looked back over towards Diamond cuddling with her boyfriend. She couldn’t deny they looked happy together, but the three friends knew that it wouldn’t last…
