How are these moments comparable enough to be called hypocrisy? Someone please explain.

Rainbow Dash’s decision had effects, where abstaining would harm both sides, and her own peace of mind. Aiding both sides was out of the question, there was no perfect outcome. Seapony dude had a happy one right there, that harmed nobody, that just required the thinking-outside-of-the-box that the CMC have been known for. If anything, they should have figured it out on their own, having only improved their abilities since so easily figuring out the answer to Troubleshoes’ dilemma. Would have made for a better episode, if Apple Bloom, the one not so enchanted by either side, was the one once again to figure it out, seeing as the map only asked for the trio.
