Olive: Uh… Perhaps you should choose somepony else, little prince. Being with me might bring you… unwanted attention.
 

 
Here we have Olive Branch and Illusive Sparks first meeting, where Luce just walks over and declares friendship cause ‘ya smell nice’. Olive is very confused and tries to get the young dragon/changeling to reconsider but being a foal, Luce doesn’t listen. Both Luce and Olive aren’t treated too well due to their parentage but handle it differently. Olive lives his life hiding from view and trying not to trouble anyone. Luce lives boldly and does what he can to help, eventually earning a few ponies trust.
 
1st: Slight recon on my Olive Branch here. Originally, him and Illusive were the same age but that doesn’t make sense so now Olive is older.
 
2nd: Olive Branch (the unicorn) isn’t new. I just haven’t drawn him in… a while. He’s the son of King Sombra and Amber Leaf from before the curse. Basically, Amber remained pregnant throughout the curse and gave birth sometime after. She and Sombra were close, very much Beauty and the beast style but she couldn’t save him. Olive is the result of their brief romance.
 
3rd: Olive is a late bloomer, earning his cutiemark well into his teens due to anxiety and lack of confidence. Illusive helps him with this.
