In the Deliriumverse, Spike is bi and Smolder is straight, they obviously met when Smolder attended Twilight’s school, and being the first dragon Spike has ever met close to his own age he was immediately drawn to her, at some point during their relationship they decided they wanted a child and wanted to raise said child in their homeland, so Tiger grew up immersed in dragon culture and has only gotten to really experience pony culture in recent years.

Tiger is sarcastic, snappy, and mischievous, and over the years they’ve became more and more of a troublemaker, going into nearby pony villages to scare them, destroy property, and steal, so they were sent to Twilight’s School of Friendship, but unfortunately he was such a massive destraction to other students he had to be kicked out, so Strawberry Delirium offered to take them in as her assistant, to instill discipline and also allow him to experience friendship missions first hand, besides, it would be interesting enough work to keep his attention. Having run out of options, Spike and Smolder happily accepted.  
Luckily for Tiger Strawberry is a Draconequus, a creature with the ability to warp reality at will without a second thought, she doesn’t need help with any mundane tasks like cleaning and organizing and is also often running interdimentional errands, meaning that most of the work they get to help with is exciting and/or fascinating, not to mention Strawberry is far from a demanding, mean boss, but neither of these things stop Tiger from getting themselves into trouble now and again, but Strawberry obviously sympathizes with those urges. All and all, working with Delirium is obviously helping him become more responsible, even if she’s far from the ideal responsible adult herself.  
Tiger really likes to cook, he makes three meals for Delirium and himself a day and she lets him try out any crazy recipies he wants (after all, Draconequus’s can eat anything)
