From what I can tell, Scootaloo wants to cure the sick ponies all at once. The fact that the cure Twilight found has to be spread through the air means that getting them in one place (by the lake) is the best option. Presumably the police are now there to dissuade the curious.
No I know but moving sick ponies through a town is kind of stupid no? I mean what if there are non-infected watching? OOPS YOU JUST INFECTED THEM.
Wouldn’t the best procedure be to keep them in their houses and seal the house in some kind of hermetic bubble?
Still, it’s not like they’re not going to kill them. They’re just trying to keep an absurdly contagious virus from spreading any more than it has. If all goes well this’ll be done by the end of the day.
