I got one of those coloring activity standee things and decided I wanted to give worst pony some hella detailing, like the kinda shit they do in Hollywood where they maintain a cartoon character’s proportions but add waaay too much detail. Untooning, I guess. Some of that detail is lost in this photo even with color correction, but hopefully she has a feeling of solidity to her. Craig was gushing about her looking “fuzzy”.
 
I do think she’s pretty cute. It’s impossible to make a realistic MLP pony with the same proportions without it getting a little fucked up, but it was a nice challenge and I like the product.
 
Didn’t manufacture the base of the horse itself, but the whole piece is cardboard, paper, Crayola washable markers, watercolor markers for real actual adult artists, and one of those fat white artist markers. She stands about 3 feet tall, though a good chunk of that comes from the rainbow thingie underneath her. She stands by herself.
 
This was such a blast. I’d love to do it again with different characters, maybe even some of my own. Great, unique kinda decor, plus pretty good for photography. Even artists need hobbies, I guess.
