my headcanon is that scootaloo was adopted and raised by chickens, but she’s actually a member of a subspecies of pegasi who live deep in the everfree forest. they’re like munchkins and they have cloacas, and they aren’t much bigger than scootaloo is right now

People call the chickens Scootaloo because It’s a popular joke that was born during the first season, when Apple Bloom called Scoots a chicken in “The Stare Master”, since then it became a popular meme.
