So in the review of EoE, Sage makes the comparison that Asuka is the original Rainbow Dash. This must not go unnoticed.

Asuka and Rainbow Dash are basically the same character, yes. Same inferiority complex, same hyperaggressive hypercompetitiveness. They’ve both got something to prove and they both fairly scream “low self-esteem” and “daddy issues.” Yes. YES.
 
Seriously. In the Japanese dub, does RD say “baka” and “are you stupid?” constantly?

@CreakyCreek I doubt that Sage is aware of those two. He isn’t exactly sympathetic to bronies and probably hasn’t watched all the episodes. Besides, even if he has, a reference to Rainbow Dash is more likely to be understood by his non-brony viewers.
