Stygian woke up to Tempest muttering to herself.
 
“N-No…. p-please….” she whispered.
 
Stygian looked over at her. “Tempest… Tempest?” he asked. He shook her gently. “Tempest, wake up!!!” he shouted.
 
Tempest eyes snapped opened as she gasped. She sat up, breathing heavily. “It was… just a dream…?” she asked.
 
“Yes, you were talking to yourself.” he told her.
 
She laid back down. “It was… a dream…” she repeated. She sighed.
 
“If you don’t mind me asking, what was it about…?” he asked.
 
“It was about… how I lost my horn… only it was going after you…” she muttered.
 
“What was going after me?” he asked.
 
“It was an ursa…” she told him.
 
“Ursa minor?” he asked.
 
She shook her head. “An ursa major attacked me when I was a filly, and it snapped my horn clean off. But in the dream, it went after you, and tried to kill you…” she told him, shuffling so she was on her side.
 
“O-Oh…” he muttered.
 
She felt tears welling in her eyes. No, she wasn’t going to cry. She would be seen as weak if she did. But she couldn’t hold the tears back. She began to sob softly.
 
“Fizzlepop….” Stygian began.
 
Her eyes widened, tears still glowing from them. He only called her that when he really wanted to talk with her. She turned to face him.
 
“Do you want to hug me? While you sleep?” he asked in embarrassment.
 
She blushed, and smiled. “Uh… sure…” she replied.
 
He smiled, and hugged her, putting his head against her chest. Her heart was beating fast. She wrapped her hooves around him, pulling him close. She shut her eyes, giggling slightly. She then fell slowly back to sleep.
 
He smiled. He wasn’t falling asleep until she was. When she fell into the vast depthness of the dream realm, he shut his eyes, finally drifting off to sleep once again.
 

 
Oof, this picture was so hard to make, getting the proportions took me ten fricking minutes to get right. But this was also adorable to make, especially thinking about how short Stygian is compared to Tempest XD
