Description

As Ellias slowly opened his eyes, still feeling exhausted from last night. The sky was shining brightly through the half closed window curtains. The first thing he did was checking his holophone, the clock displayed 12:00 in the morning. Seems like he had overslept again, if you can count everyday as again. He didn’t want to get out of bed just yet, quiet moments like these are his favorite, ever since he moved out to live alone, he has been enjoying this solitary life for the most part, the only downside was that he had to go to the grocery store himself to get foods, but that’s can be dealt with easily. He laid on his bed thinking about what to do today and possibly in the future as well. He’s been dreaming about fame and recognition as soon as he knew what ambitions were, he just wanted to be someone of importance, but so far he hasn’t done anything about it.

As Ellias slowly crawl out of his bed to the bathroom and looked himself in the mirror. Normally it would be just him in the mirror, but it was different that day. He saw a lifeless male stripper working a dead end job in a strip club. The monthly payment is just mediocre, just enough to pay rent and perhaps a few new clothing but that’s it, the tips are just barely enough to get him through the week as it seemed he was not as well desired as other girls in said club. Being a stripper is an interesting job at first, but it gets more and more bland later on. Though a stripper club is where his most known nick name “Moosin” came from but still he needed a fresh change of air.

Since Ellias skipped breakfast, he decided to go out for lunch in a small food store. As he’s somewhat enjoying his small budget meal, he noticed a banner across the street saying that the Trinity Corporation is currently hiring exploration parties for their frontier research project. This could be a good opportunity, Moosin thought. The Trinity Corp. was the sponsor of many major ground breaking technological projects, such as the holophone Ellias had in his pocket at the moment. It was a chance for him to be able to go around the world, explore uncharted lands, and possibly uncover ancient technologies as well, better than swinging and humping a pole all night he supposed.

Unfortunately, when he looked at the banner closer, there’s a requirement however; You gotta have at least 4 people in order to form a party as the danger of the outerland is no joke. It was clear that Ellias’s objective then is to find at least 3 people to join him. Speaking of combat experience, he’s immediately reminded of his friend Camilia, who had countless scars on her body and years of servitude within a yakuza clan, maybe he should swing by her place to see if she’s willing to see, Camilia did told him that she was about to quit working for the clan after all.

So Ellias stood up, paid for the meal and headed out toward his friend Camilia’s place.

PS: the image above only represent Ellias aka Moosin is his usual combat equipment, it doesn’t relate to the story much but it should helps you form a visual of him. His horns are actually hollow to conceal a knife inside each of them. This design isn’t really samurai-ish though, it has more to do with the world surround him
