Bit of a lacklustre attempt, but eh, at least it was one, instead of indefinitely delaying it.

Gotta/Wanna practice character pages, style sheets, and the like anyway, so any little effort towards that helps.

Little Nautila here is probably one of my more beloved OCs I’ve made out there, to the point some folks wanted to make her. (Which I’m totally ok with!!!)

Making a design page makes me think a lot more about the finer details, and what design elements are good reference points regardless of which style she could be made in. From the angles on her hood, to the general colour paterns. A lot of it is flexible, tho.

But there’s some hints like the nosebridge being more convex than concave, which helps add to the overal roundness throughout her face.

Then I try to think of rules that always apply. The biggest one that came to mind was: “No neck, just tentacles” haha. Implying you’ll never see the neck if it even exists, regardless of what angle you look at her.

Anyhow, just make a lot of tentacles and you should be fine haha.Nautilus have up to 90 tentacles to play with, so…
