Yona: Kindness. Her puzzle was about being kind to those she feared, and here she acted as a mediator.  
Ocellus: Generosity. Both her reluctance to return to the old Changeling way and the importance she gives to what can be learned from the elements exemplify it.  
Silverstream: Laughter. Her challenge was about laughing at her fears, and she displayed the same loud artistry of Pinkie Pie.  
Smolder: Honesty. She learned to be honest about her own likes, and this time she sought to build a monument to remember and honor the tree, similar to what Applejack would do.  
Sandbar: Loyalty. Displayed by being pushed to abandon his friends and how he wanted to grow a new tree to keep the memorial in the form of something similar.  
Finally Gallus, who has been the most contentious: Magic. His puzzle was all about wits and the understanding of magic, and his showmanship was similar to that of Trixie, a perpetual rival to Twilight Sparkle.
