I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to draw a piece of fanart based on the Friendship is Magic episode Molt Down, but seen it’s, at the time I write this, my favourite Spike episode, here we go.
 
So here is the smol dragon himself admiring his new wings following his moult, and his closest friends and loved ones’ reactions to it.
 
Twilight - Obvious reasons, like a sister/motherly figure to him, I can see her being extremely proud of him
 
Rarity - I’m a proud Sparity shipper, so I can imagine she would find Spike to be quite dashing with his new wings (I think I enjoyed drawing her reaction the most )
 
Celestia - The one who found Spike’s egg, and seen as she was Twilight’s teacher, and therefore coming into contact with Spike quite a lot growing up, Celestia would be rather proud
 
Ember - One of his best friends, Ember’s allergies have started flaring up due to her being happy
 
Thorax - Another one of his close friends, applauding his accomplishment
 
Smoulder - I’ve noticed another kind of sisterly bond between Spike and Smoulder, so I can see Smoulder giving him a thumbs up shortly after this
 
Starlight - The two of them, both having been under Twilight’s tutelage/guidance, have become close friends over the show, so I can see Starlight being happy for Spike
