where if he had it sooner, his mane would be paler. He admired Ruth for her silly attitude and outlook on life.  
Shane also wanted to get Glittering Iris to laugh more, He thought her sadness would rub off on the others. Irene seemed to be a mother like figure to him, He turned his questions to her more often then he did anypony else.”
 
At first he started to get teased for doing things he didn’t realize he was doing.  
After he was checked, he was sent to the hospital to be cared for. His mother became afraid of him, and after a while he started to become scared and sad himself.  
He made friends with 3 other ponies that had the same illness he had: Dilly Ruth, Glittering Iris and Rusted Irene.
 
He died after the 10nth month, committed suicide after Iris and Ruth died. He didn’t want to see Irene die as well.
 
There is no known cure for the illness. Though the odds of getting it is like being zapped by lightning as you win the lottery.
