I’ve been thinking of ways to make my nextgen different, but I think what I’ve came up with now sounds the most interesting to me but not too outlandish.
 
I’ve seen different takes on realistic mlp ponies where the ponies have fetlocks/tail feathers/markings and always liked that so I decided to add those things to my pony designs, but I would be lying if I didn’t admit that I wasn’t also inspired by artists like Strawberry-Spritz as well.
 
 
So anyway onto to the ponies from left to right: Pinkie Pie, Nightshine, Confetti, Twilight Sparkle, and Moonlight Twinkle.
 
Confetti is the stereotypical cheerful, bubbly, outgoing pinkie pie kid, she likes cooking but she prefers cooking savory foods over sweets, the exception being airy fluffy textured sweets like cotton candy or marshmellows.
 
Nightshine takes after his grand father Nightlight in appearance, he’s shy and quiet but like Twilight he also loves books.
 
Moonlight is introverted and anxious, but somehow also a social butterfly (she’s like her little brother and shy but her naturally high charisma made her popular with other ponies). She likes reading, magic and sleeping.
 
 
Pinkie Pie is a pegasus because she’s one in g5 and I just always felt her being a pegasus made sense, the rest of her family are still earth ponies (with some dragon/pony hybrid ancestory on Pinkie’s father’s side) , but Cloudy Quartz Pie simply had a pegasus mother aka Granny Pie and that’s where pinkie gets her wings from.
