Yeah well Equestria obviously didn’t know about the storm king, so Queen Novo obviously didn’t send them any sort of letters of help or warning about the threat.

Except every nation didn’t, obviously, since they had dealings with other groups and places before the storm king showed up that didn’t have those problems.
 
Also, that political summit you mentioned? The one depicted in the comic, which took place after the Storm King was defeated, is specifically stated to be the first one they’ve had in 753 years.  
 
So again, I don’t really see this as Equestria’s fault. Maybe they should have reached out sooner themselves, but at the very least Queen Novo could have spent a few minutes of her seemingly empty day trying to send even a note to the very next location their enemy was likely going to head towards.

Is she? I don’t really think she is. I mean, the ponies didn’t even really know the Storm King existed until Tempest showed up out of the blue and attacked them, and it’s not exactly like the Hippogriff kingdom reached out to Equestria for help either. You think something serious enough to cause them to abandon their entire existence on land would warrant at least a postcard or something. Honestly, the fact that they didn’t bother to warn the rulers of Equestria at all makes the whole “why didn’t they come help sooner” thing a lot less valid.

So between this and >>2110961, I’m guessing she’s from an outlying area that was subjugated by the Storm King some time before the events of the movie, and she’s bitter about the lack of aid up to that point?

They’re just taking the stuff we’ve been saying and putting it in her mouth, but at least she’s making the right points.
