In a way you are correct. Ovoviviparous eggs develop within the mother (or father like seahorses)
To be fair there are some non-mammals that give live birth, but yeah, Sweet and Smokey kinda solidified that Equestrian dragons lay eggs, if it hadn’t been before.
I repent for my scientifically inaccurate fantasies about dragons.

But if she has multiple eggs in her she could be bloated like this.
Though pregnant ponies never looked any different so idk.
as I would like to recall from other dragon stuff the egg starts inside and stays in there for a while, then once sizable it will come out and then after around a month give or take the hatching will come out
Maybe it’s the eggs. She’s a tiny dragon.
