Oh yeah, just because more people will have seen it.
Maybe I did exaggerate with that last part but I do see it getting worse when it comes to the online response until things finally die down.
Eh, I dont know. TLJ has alot more passionate haters and the crew still show up to celebrations and cons.
The death threats are probably just going to get worse as more fans see the episodes (the amount of fans that have seen them is so small at the moment considering the English version isn’t available yet). I liked them but they really made some controversial decisions in those episodes.
Sadly I can see this leading to them deciding not to ever attend cons again since I imagine fans will confront them there too (even when they go to cons to talk about other shows).
It really would be. Allspark and her baby companies really need better communication…
They could be, but it sounds like Nick got replaced with EQG, since the holiday special was not written by him and he and Katrina said Backstage Pass was their last project.
I reaaaaally hope we get less rowdy lol. The death threats thing needs to stop.
Not sure it will though, because are the trouble makers are really a part of the fandom, or are they just trolls that latched on?
It would be more amazing if the folks from Big Yellow Duck actually bothered to update the studio’s social media pages (their Facebook was updated last month, while the latest photo in their Instagram is from March, and I won’t say anything about the last time they updated their Twitter). And about the writers… They may be the same as FiM ’cause most of them are freelancers, so the fandom probably will skip the “getting in touch and forming bonds” part with them. I really want the G5 fandom to become a bit less… Rowdy, saying it in a kind manner.

Big Yellow Duck!! This is the most amazing thing!
And yeah, it would help fans. It would also help us to get in touch and for a bond with our new animation studio, writers, and VAs. That is alot of what makes our fandom special under FiM
Yup. If we knew all cartoons that were recorded in Big Yellow Duck (yep, that’s the name of the studio) besides the current Transformers series and (maybe) Nature Cat, it would be easier to know most of the VAs (well, not everyone in the cast of Transformers is a professional VA) working there! And would be good for fans who like to speculate.
Good point. Especially since Hasbro seems to be wanting to expand their animated content, that expansion will have to be affordable.
that mane was horyfying in my opinion tho O_O

@AspectofBlood21
I think Pinkie Pie was voiced by a non-union VA from New York, like Background Pony #B7B4 said. Something tells me that in the future, all Hasbro series may be recorded there to not make things too expensive. Both current Transformers cartoons are recorded there, so it’s not too far from reality to speculate future MLP content and maybe future seasons of LPS:AWOO and Hanazuki (if both these series weren’t cancelled) will feature New York VAs.
@neo4812
Yeah, VA wasnt too bad. I understand it was apparently Pinkie’s singing actress, and that the reason for the new actress is the complications involved with having her regular VA going back and forth to voice 2-3 minute short episodes.
But yeah, the fact that the only part about the VA that turned me off was that it wasn’t her regular VA is really quite good.
its a different VA. don’t know why they did it but she was ok
Exactly. Cgi is really tough to work with compared to flash. Even still, it really wasn’t that bad. Compare this to Transformers Prime, or even some of the CG from Gumball. They are improving. And Ive come to the opinion that Pinkie is actually better suited for CGI animation. She is highly energetic, and the CG they used nailed that characteristic!
And really, really good example of improvement.
@TheSultanAkbar
I think that is what has people confused on how to react. Is it bad, and the CG is bad, or is the CG just a very tough instance of being both uncanny valley and very different from the flash ponies we are used to. Either way, this little series is a good idea. It let’s them learn how to improve the models and animations (EG, her hoof clipped through the box in a brief frame), and let’s us get used to our ponies in CGI animation.

And let’s be honest, CGI can be a really tricky thing to get right, even when (especially when) adapting a more traditionally animated character. Particularly one that has a very specific, well liked look, and very specific, very animated (no pun intended) mannerisms. And for a starting point? Honestly this wasn’t that bad.
