This reminds of a fic I read a long time ago back when I didn’t have as much a skimming problem as I do now when reading stuff. There was this fic about some type of mist similar to the one that consumed luna but it took over fluttershy instead. I can’t remember if Discord was involved in it to. It was pretty gory since she can control animals she had a lot of them killing the towns people. It was honestly a pretty good story but I can’t remember the title. I think the author either went on hiatus or took it down.
