Some lil facts:
-Due to basically raising her brother and sister on her own, Megan is naturally instilled with a motherly and caring demeanor. This comes in handy when dealing with the ponies and other creatures of Pony land, and allows her to help temper the distrust many of the ponies have in humans.
-Megan is the first human to step foot into Ponyland after several years of them being extinct. She was required to come into the possession of the Rainbow of Light due to a few select in humankind being able to handle it.
-The ranch owned by her parents focuses mainly on horses (including TJ, a chestnut coloured Quarter American Horse who she has a particularly close bond to), with a few chickens, sheep and a bull named Tauro. They cater primarily to customers hoping to learn how to ride, but around the time Firefly arrives to pick Megan up the business has begun to lag. The idea of their family work failing is one of the few things that manages to poke a hole into Megan’s confidence, a quirk that unfortunately transfers over into a quiet fear of failure.
-She’s quite fond of all of the equine friends she made, but comes to make a special connection with Applejack after a harrowing encounter with the seaponies. They both can understand each other’s situation, the pressure of making sure the family business is going well.
-Growing up with animals had prompted Megan to want to pursue some sort of career in animal healthcare; either that, or horse racing, as on the few moments she has free she can be found on TJ’s back in the fields, bolting about the wide open area. Unfortunately for her, her parents seem keen on her keeping up the ranch after they go into retirement.
-Eventually her siblings are brought into Ponyland as well, but after an incident with the corrosive, all consuming Smooze Megan seems intent on making sure they don’t arrive all that often; despite this place being full of colourful talking horses and magical rainbows, it’s quickly shown to be incredibly dangerous for those without any form of magic.
-Jem and the Holograms is her ultimate guilty pleasure.
