Honestly I think they decided streaming the episodes was more favorable than putting episodes out on DVD anymore.
I don’t understand it. You’d think Hasbro would want DVD sales, but it’s like they dropped everything after season 7.
Shout Factory may not have the Rights anymore I think. It’s the only reason I can think of why they stopped putting the series out.
The show was animated in Flash where the movie and the special were done in toomboom harmony
Well, the show, movie, and Rainbow Roadtrip technically had the same animation. But the show and Rainbow Roadtrip were all 2D. While the movie itself it’s bothe 2D and 3D because this 2D movie had 3D effects in it. That means you can watch the movie in theaters in both either 2D or 3D. It seems odd why a 2D animated movie that is based off a 2D animated tv show had the same animation as the tv show but with 3D effects in it.

Funny, I never thought the MLP movie looked like a Saturday morning cartoon. I always thought it looked beautiful. As did the special.
The animation looks like it was taken directly out of a Saturday morning cartoon. Not terrible just meh really.

You mean Rainbow Roadtrip? Compared to the MLP movie, it’s not quite as action packed, but the calm nature and beautiful animation makes up for that.
