Hang in there!!!
Sometimes doing extra work can have benefits, or help get a product out on time, (Smash Bros. would still be in development now if people didn’t crunch sometimes) or help workers get extra money, (I myself might be getting a second job) and some “workaholics” prefer to get a li’l extra work done sometimes for those reasons.
But yeah, Crunch Culture in general isn’t good for the workers themselves… (It’s sad Pencils had to give up in drawing an issue they wanted in order to help get another finished.) Though, there’s gatta be a better term for it then “Culture.” (As just tacking that word on the end of things always seemed odd to me.)

It’s truely insulting more then just saying “u suk”… I feel sorry for people like Pencils.
just replying to you and while it must hurt that you didn´t get to draw your favorite ponies,I must say that you have done a wonderful job with the changeling student, it was a really good issue that was needed for Ocellus.
It was really enjoyable, thanks for the extra effort put into this.
Stay strong,Pencils.
I don’t know if Pencils’ll see this, but not only do I say thank you for your hard work, but I love how your art looks! I never kept up with the comics, but I really enjoy the Student Six and the way they look in all the preview images are super-cute, so consider me a fan! :3

I just have one question for you:
What the fuck is RWBY?!
XD
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand RWBY. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of Dust Magic Theory most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Roman Torchwick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike RWBY truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Roman’s existential catchphrase “I still don’t think that’s what a sloth sounds like,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Monty Oum’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, i DO have a RWBY tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
That’s some great encouragement!!
Look on the bright side!
At least they’re not RWBY fans… those guys are brutal
XD!!!!

Like, serious, very demanding…
Relax, it’s just some comic. Jesus, like the world is gonna end or something. Pull a chair and do what you gotta do.
You could be in some serious shit doing some backbreaking work like my mom or, you could pull pencils all day.
I do appreciate this man’s work, of course. Won’t you do so too.
He really is. People who don’t work in the business like he does will never understand how much pressure publishing companies put on artists, writers and such on deadlines. When it’s a bunch of teenagers and manchildren who have no idea what they’re talking about bitching at someone who does this for a living, you gotta take it with a grain of salt. Know that this criticism is NOT coming from a place of knowledge or experience, and move on.
The committee demands evidence before standing trial
wow, you are really helpful, thanks.
Searching “artist:pencils, explicit, -edit” says yes
any explicit arts? I look through the artist’s tag and find that explicit pictures of him seem all have “edit” tag.🤔
If an artist doesn’t have some experience drawing porn, even privately, they probably aren’t worth their weight in salt. It explores the naked figure form, which is critical to understand underneath clothing to get dimensions correct, and familiarizes the artist with typically more advanced poses and interactions between figures.
(You can only draw so much Greek wrestling before someone says you have a fetish, anyway.)
>there is nothing wrong with /mlp/
There is nothing wrong with Derpibooru, Reddit, or Tumblr. I can put words in your mouth too.
The reply was, to “I wish Pencils had never gone on /mlp/.” Followed by a statement about Pencils getting his noteriety there, that’s all. I would never say there was nothing wrong or everything wrong with /mlp/, but I’m not a delusional tribalist that can only see in endorsement or condemnation.
