Because I’m talking about two different things, to show how badly the quality dropped, and how fast it dropped. Season 9 hit rock bottom, but the art was still fine. Now they made the art terrible too.

False. It’s a deliberate stylistic choice, forced by corporate executives chasing after success of other CalArts cartoons. There’s many ways to make art simple and cheap (yes, regular G4 style IS simple and cheap. Just as Craig McCracken’s, Butch Hartman’s and many other cartoonists’ style is cheap and simple without cloning CalArts style, regardless of where they graduated).

Because it’s cheap and doesn’t require any artistic talent. I was actually done with pony as of last year (except for Best Gift Ever and Rainbow Roadtrip, both of which I think are decent). Season 9 was overall garbage, and the last half was REALLY bad. The last episode was one of the worst episodes of any show I have ever seen, it was that bad. I thought they hit rock bottom there, but oh no, it’s going to get much worse. I’m not interested in what Hasbro is going to spray out of their rectum from this point.
