Well Twilight was known as an alicorn then she was as an unicorn, since season three people have gotten used to seeing that she has wings now, this isn’t the case for Spike unfortunately.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound like a broken record, if Spike haven’t gotten his wings so late in the series a lot more people would be accepted of it, but to me feel like fan pandering.

I feel like the only reason why Hasbro removed Spike’s wings and left Twilight’s is because of the money. Since Princess Sparkle is really profitable they obviously decided to leave it in so they can continue sell more toys but since wingless Spike is more profitable because people got used to it more than winged Spike, they just removed it.
I’m one of the few people in this fandom that prefer Spike without wings, I don’t generally hate it but don’t generally care for it either. I main issue is there was never any hints that dragons getting wings is a puberty thing (which I think it’s stupid).
I might have get used to them if Spike got wings in a earlier season like I did with Twilight but I didn’t, and yes I do feel like him getting wings is fanservice.
By all appearances, this is not intended to share continuity with Friendship is Magic at all – same as Friendship is Magic doesn’t share continuity with the other generations’ cartoon series.
It still feels like a cruel joke, finally after 8 years he received his wings, which most of the fandom wanted and now, he’s evolving back to being wingless again…
It’s almost like as if the staff at Hasbro only made Spike winged just to shut the fans up.

your current filter.Well Spike was a wingless dragon for almost entirely in the series, he didn’t get wings until the second half of season eight (which is very late if you ask me).
I fine with Hasbro revert Spike to be a wingless dragon, he always been like that way before G4 ever started. But we don’t fully know yet since we have very little information about this show.
It’s an educated guess. What else would be the reason to remove Spike’s wings but keep Twilight’s?

You guys don’t know this a prequel or not, there haven’t been any more news of this series yet. You guys just guessing.
