“COME ON! I HIT HIM LIKE 12 TIMES ALREADY! HOW IS HE STILL STANDING!?”

As she watched Sunset Shimmer rage like a thunderous storm, Rainbow Dash was having the time of her life. Nearly passing out from laughing so hard, Rainbow had to lean up against her massive friend, wheezing and gasping for air as she felt her bloated belly slosh and bounce along. “HAH HAH HAH! I thought you said this game was a breeze!”

“It was! But now I’m getting distracted!”

“Oh, yeah. I’m sure that’s the problem.” Rainbow scoffed as she watched Sunset die once again, sending her into another fit of cackling like a madwoman. “AAAH HAH HAAAAHH! Oh, my gosh! I think I’m gonna pee my pants!”

“Oh, hardy-har-har,” Sunset sneered as she side-eyed her friend trying to catch her breath. “Just shut up and keep drinking that stuff while I really show you how it’s done.”

“If it’s anything like the last few tries, then it’s gonna be a long night.” Still breathing heavily from the laughter, Rainbow chugged the rest of her fourth can of energy drink before tossing it to the side. Letting out a mighty BEEHHHLCH, she rubbed her swollen gut as she looked around for her next can. “Do we have anymore Creatures, by the way? Wanna see if I can stay up,” she asked, trying to stifle a yawned.

“Check the fridge,” Sunset said as she waited for her avatar to respawn.

Sitting up slightly to see how far across the room Sunset’s mini-fridge was, Rainbow just shrugged and slouched back down. “Meh, I’ll get one later.”

As Sunset began her next attempt at the level, she took a quick glance at Rainbow’s prominent gut. She could swear it looked a bit bigger since Rainbow arrived earlier. “Shouldn’t you be working out, though?”

“I told you, I would be working out if the school gym was open during break. But I have to wait til after New Years when the school opens up again,” Rainbow explained as she scrolled through her phone, barely looking up. “Besides, it’s the holidays! Everyone’s been putting on a little weight lately.”

“If you say so.” Sunset continued playing, still thinking in the back of her mind about how comfortable Rainbow is becoming with her extra weight. Perhaps a little too comfortable. While she did want to say something more about it, Sunset knew she shouldn’t be one to talk, especially at her size. Over 500 pounds and all she’s doing was sitting around playing video games.

Maybe it was about time to do something. Like Rainbow had said, everyone was putting on a little weight. Or some cases, a lot of weight. Maybe it was about time she started paying attention and-

“AW, COME ON! HOW AM I DEAD ALREADY?!”

“Okay, that’s it,” Rainbow chuckled to herself. “I’m looking up a walkthrough.”
