Celestia and Luna TOGETHER couldn’t do shit against Discord and needed the elements to seal him. Chrysalis only defeated Celestia by using Shining’s love as a power source.
 
Chrysalis’s expression while power-struggling with Celestia confirmed that she was as surprised as her with the battle’s result. Meaning her BASE power isn’t near Celestia’s.
 
Discord can fuck with reality like a cheap whore. Even Celestia needs the preptime advantage (ie protecting the elements) to prevent Discord from winning automatically.
 
Chrissy would need A LOT of love before she could hope to even SURVIVE facing a God that’s beyond the goddesses of ponykind, and that only the elements can hope to seal.

Let’s not forget, Discord is very likely not omnipotent. If he were, he wouldn’t have needed to make sure Twilight couldn’t hex him. And he could’ve taken the Elements from the girls no matter Celestia’s enchantment.
 
He’s probably not as godlike as lots of people believed…

Chrysalis is overestimating herself by a whole freakin’ lot… She only took out Celestia due to Shining Armor acting as battery. Now? Unless she has Big MacIntosh in storage she’s toast.
