You sound like a drunk guy trying to repeat what another drunk guy told you.
Someone tells you a story about a guy who got shot in ths legs, turns into a story about cops arrested people for not wearing a mask, turns into a story about stores hiring private security, turns into a story about domestic abuse. Oh and the story is “being buried under the results”.
Uh huh. Yeah. Tell us about how breezies created covid and how hippogryphs rule the world.
Firstly, apparently the injured man was either stubborn or confused by his injuries. According to the account I heard he tried walking to the nearest hospital and when the cops on patrol saw him outside without a mask they stopped. Besides, it may be he was doing something he preferred the police didn’t know about and wanted to avoid meeting them. I’ll have to ask the person who related this account to me if they have more information.
I’ve been trying to find out more about it myself but I’m coming up blank. It might be better to say, trying to single out ‘injured Ohio man arrested for violating quarantine’ brings up a lot of hits online, many of them only tangentially related. I don’t know if that means it’s being buried under the results or it was the result of a misunderstanding, as the person who shared this with me isn’t the type to go knowingly spreading rumors.
But given what I have seen and heard I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that it was true.
So police will respond to a violent crime, but in the wake of a violent crime, the police weren’t contacted? Something about this story doesn’t jive.
And here in Pennsylvania the police departments of several major cities have announced that they won’t respond to anything but a violent crime, so stores have started hiring security companies to protect against theft and shoplifting. Unfortunately, that’s all they protect against. I have a relation who saw some swine beat the crap out of his girlfriend in a store, ending it by slamming her into the wall. As he strolled out, filling the air with the usual moronic curses, she demanded of a security guard watching the whole thing: “Why didn’t you stop that man? Look what he did to that woman!”
The response? “Hey, he had his mask on and he didn’t steal anything from the company, so I can’t touch him!”
“Didn’t you already have it?”
“Um… it’s Covid-20 this time… yeah…”
That’s an excellent point actually…but only before his character development, I think. :)
Look foward to the next great depression.
I just found out this week that my line manager’s been made redundant; at least his wife is in a well-paid job elsewhere, but…ouch, that’s gonna make life a little more difficult for a while.
Ahhhh, so there was a one-way implication going on?
Coronavirus is automatically added with the Covid-19 tag but not the other way around. That’s why there was more images with the Coronavirus tag. But I guess someone went and added them since then.
Now that’s what I call a PRO GAMER MOVE
Power Move: Lick your own finger and give him a wet willy saying: “Now you defintily have!”
Good. Such people SHOULD get jail time.
@Yet One More Idiot
Coronavirus is a generic term…. like there has been many coronaviruses in history while covid19 is this single virus
Thats always happened. People just didn’t talk about it because it would be written off as ‘a random crazy guy’. Hell just last year, people were opening ice cream containers in supermarkets, licking the top and then putting it back on the shelf. Fast forward to now and people are finally getting jail time for food tampering, which isn’t exactly a new law.
Well there was an article in the news last week about one guy who got arrested for (fake?) coughing in a policeman’s face, so…
…these are the times we live in….
You can probably rob a store with your finger now
Just lick your finger and stick it in the clerk’s face and go “NOBODY MOVE I HAVE CORONAVIRUS” and you could take all the money
Not all people have stopped working, a lot are simply working from home instead. But if you claim to have caught Covid-19, then you may be able to go on sick leave and get out of working at home as well.
