Tangy Sprite has such an interesting design, mainly in regards to her mane and tail. I imagined that, much like Pound and Pumpkin Cake, she could possibly be a handful despite being an Earth pony.
And guess which poor sucker I chose to endure her adorable wrath?

What this means is that they acted nastily and expected no negative repercussions from it, then got angry when their previous actions were called out and/or argued against.
Overall, CL just leaves a very “bad taste” in people’s minds, and the stigma carries over to her overall work most of the time, while she has somewhat improved (I really mean somewhat) her overall passive aggressive attitude toward the MLP fandom as a whole did not won her much favor at this site. Out of the 200 images posted only as much as 10 images were upvoted positively and as regarded as something genuine. Outside of that, if it’s not the image, it’s the ridiculously long and very opinionated statements she writes for the image that is regarded as her looking down on the MLP community. If you have not noticed it in the comments of the other images, I would advised checking them.
She just rubs the MLP groups the wrong way, it does not help her case that she refuses to take constuctive critiques to improve or calling her DA supporters to defend her because “the mean ol’ Bronies” are picking on her. These aspects cause a more harsh opinion and downvoting of her work.
You could call them excuses all you want, it’s fact collected from her work and progress and a major reason why she is downvoted most of the time at this site.
I see she has passion and potential to do good work, but her defensiveness and DA supporters stoking her ego is counter-productive in improving.
FYI: I had stopped the list of reasons why her stuff is hated in response to others asking why she is hated. I had tried reaching out to her on ways to improve as well. It is mostly ignored or brushed off, so I just stopped acknowledging her directly and barely cared about her recent work sometimes.
If it composed decently and doesn’t contain the condescending comments on the show or fans, I would upvote and praise accordingly. If it bad and negative strawman debate to bash MLP, fuck yeah, it is downvoted to hell.

Yes, some do lash out at artists they don’t like, even if it’s undeserved. Nothing you can do, get used to it.
Your excuses demonstrably do not cause the hateflooding, as they are repeated in situations where they are not true, and are not repeated in other situations where they are true, but of pictures not by her. People just lash out at the thought of the artist they don’t like.
That is not of list of excuses, those are causes on why CL stuff is hated. It’s just plain bad storytelling on her end. People ask why she is hated here on every image, and pretty much that listing is what most would agree upon. I could just say “she sux ass” and with some would agree and some won’t but did bother to take time and read some of complaints and read through her descriptions and found the key points in her concepts that turn most folks off.
The crossovers would read better if she didn’t make Twilight into an over the top out of character focus. Better interactions with the characters and surroundings instead of forced shipping.
She has the who and where but not the when, how, or why in her stories which some folks keep wondering “WHAT” (dafuq)?

I couldn’t help but notice that you copypasted that list of excuses instead of responding to the actual picture being hateflooded. And that the other hateflooders didn’t even bother to rationalize it until called out.

Her presentations of the crossover went with EVERYTHING that people hate about crossovers:
-Unneeded/unnessecary shipping
-Mary Sue OCs (not one but several)
-out of characters (OOC)
-cameo appearance of character that don’t add to the story
And these are just a few complaints people had with her work without going into details of her art style. None of which is in regards to her gender.
Don’t make this into a sexism issue but it is not. It’s an over enthusiastic fan artist that needs to learn the basics of story structure and proper character placement.
