Wait, why are people making a huge deal outta…this?? Oh that’s right, because there’s been so much drama that everyone is incredibly paranoid about stuff like this. Well, I think this is one think we shouldn’t worry about. Hasbro changing its marketing for the show a bit isn’t exactly a huge deal. Nowhere was it said that a new show is being made, and nowhere is the airdate for season 4 stated. This is promotional material, which can be misleading, but should not be taken the wrong way. At least wait until more is known about it.

Well, if that means Chrysalis gets an upgrade to be as crazyevil as Nerissa, then I’m down with it even if we get endless shopping episodes, because that’d be pretty badass. (They did mention not using her for awhile, so appearing in the spinoff is completely plausible)
 
On that note, if we ever get forced into a shopping episode, then I hope the staff has watched Spice & Wolf, and it gets stupidly educational instead of pandering to little girls’ fashions exclusively. Imagine Rarity teaching Sweetie and Spike about how to price and trade for gemstones and then she gives them more than enough bits and then some as a secret character test. They wander off, meet the other two CMC, and then each has to stop one of the others from wasting the bits on something useless.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like the idea of a spinoff aimed at teen/adult girls? Think about it, MLP will now be among such wonderful shows like Monster High, that Barbie show (whatever the name of it is), Winx, etc. In short it will be dumbed down crap about boys and shopping with some magic thrown in here and there to keep it interesting. The show got to where it is today because of what it is right now, they don’t need to change anything. “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”
