Swift was born and raised in Ponyville, while lacking a wings or a horn, she used her athletic nature to entertain herself. Mostly staying in her own little world. She had a love for going fast and getting to places quickly, then she saw a pair of skates being sold in the Ponyville Market and she bought them with her own pocket money. She had practised frequently and enjoyed the thrill of zooming around town.
It was one day, that a contest was held in Ponyville, for a talent show, and swift knew she wanted to enter. She practised every night and as often as she could so she could try to win. She didn’t win, she didn’t even place in the contest, but when she saw the faces of the ponies when she showed them what she could do on skates, she felt instant pride for herself. That’s when her cutie mark appeared, and she knew what she was finally good at.
Swift is now an instructor to younger ponies, wanting to learn how to skate both on the ice and on normal skates. She actually got the job when she had to foal-sit a town ponies filly, and she was practising on her skates, then she was spotted by the filly’s parents. They asked her if they could teach their child how to do what she did, and word spread around Ponyville that she was an instructor. Swift saw it as an opportunity to teach others her passion, and to hopefully come out of her shell.
