I love “out of context” is on some of these, as if in context it’s less lesbian. What it looks like: They’re two ponies who do everything together, and sleep inches from each other in the same bed in the house they share. What it is, if you actually watch it: The same. (It’s the “Two for the Sky” portion of “A Very Pony Place,” for the curious.)
 
I don’t know which idea I prefer, actually: it’s either a really adorable extremely close friendship with two ponies who don’t care that friends aren’t ‘supposed’ to be this close, or two female characters who are pretty much married and it’s okay. Either way, refreshing.
