Description
EDIT: Updated the pinky finger to look less awkward.
It’s the final entry for Equestria Daily’s Artist Training Grounds! The prompt was: “Draw a pony celebration.”
The best part of celebrations is cake! I decided to twist the prompt a bit and draw Pinkie Pie helping prepare a cake for the celebration since I think she’d enjoy the preparation as much as the party itself.
Originally I drew Pinkie Pie into a stock photo I found of someone decorating a cake, but given how small she was I decided to put in some more effort so I redrew the rest of the scene as well with some very heavy referencing.

make sure when you draw foreshortening, that the tip of the finger strongly overlaps the finger itself, so it looks like it’s pointing at the camera instead of just stubby.
