Well, it is meant to be more cartoony. and simplified. Regardless, the above image admittedly does look odd, like they’re just pasted there.
Some of the other abstract Pony Life backgrounds look better though, so it is jarring.
Oh my, those eyes on that gif. I never noticed.
And yea, It’s just that Pony Life’s “crudeness” (I really don’t know else to call it) is noticeably a lot more exagerated than FiM.
Judging by the resolution, it’s probably in the background, and frankly FIM has also skimped in animation/on-model, as well sometimes with things like that too.
