Not really. I created and named this OC more than two years before the movie came out. I chose the name because I was involved in a Shakespeare play called “The Tempest,” and I kind of liked the name. I was rather annoyed when I saw what the antagonist’s name was in the movie. Don’t believe me? Look at my comic on Deviant art. First page was published January 2017, 10 months ahead of the movie.
