Mulberry takes a glance down at the darkness underneath where she saw the monster before. The unnatural darkness doesn’t reach up to the top, and she wonders if the creature would want to get anywhere near the fire anyway.
 
She let’s out a few more wheezing coughs as she undoes the rope against the wall and carefully hooks herself onto it. She then lowers herself carefully to the ground. Once she touches the floor she unhooks herself and dashes to the forest to escape the patrol.
 
Mulberry stops when she starts to see the fog wall and then looks around. The forest doesn’t go to far because of the barrier. If she had to guess, she could fit three or four houses side by side.
 
The forest is unassuming and incredibly quiet. Considering what she has seen in the last day or two these facts are enough to both calm her and also unnerve her.
