Bratty kids; troublemaking punks; childhood coercers; toxic friends; pushy brutes; reckless egotists; lazy opportunists; harsh critics; fervent “neigh”sayers; perky plagirists; bossy bosses, and snooty, entitled, and abusive upper class parents, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic might’ve brought us characters we all come to love and cherish, whether they be good or bad, but it also balanced it out with really contemptuous characters, some of which are the stereotypical snooty social elites, others as bullies who bring us misery (and ironically tip the dominos that create the unexpected yet significantly good future that awaits for many). And regardless of species, these miscreants left their mark in the cartoon, but usually as filthy stains. And while some would become friends for life with our heroes, others will always remain unrepentantly awful.
This is one pic that I’m pretty sure NOBODY wanted to see. The characters who we all hate with a passion (though Lightning Dust is the only unreformed jerk who is popular). It’s bad enough in life, childhood to today, we been bullied, abused, neglected, manipulated, or mistreated outright. And even after the Brony community began we’re still suffering social stigmatization. But seeing as how we’re still here, and how even the Mane Six and their friends have dealt with bullies and jerks, coming out on top in the end, so do we. These fools think they would win, but they always lose. Anyway, I did Zesty Gourmand’s vector for my Neighferious seven project from a long time ago. Gilda and Garble were made for both my Griffon and Dragon Day projects respectively. Some characters were easy to figure out when it came to poses, others proved to be a real pain, like the Boy Bullies and Lightning Dust. I saved Svengallop for last since he’s considered among the worst ponies ever. Originally, Wind Rider was in this, and Iron Will in my other villains pic. But seeing as how he was more of a criminal and Iron Will taught ponies to be more like jerks, I flipped them over. I will say this though, making this made my stomach churn. But of course, my father, who is also an artist, had his share of making art of his least favorite people (in the political field of course).
Initially Iron Will was going to be with the other villains, but I decided to put him in here since he can be a jerk and he’s one of the few characters who made my hate hit list for his despicable deeds in Once Upon a Zeppelin.
Anyway, before the Mane Six began their journey together, they lived separately when they were young. And like all children, two of them got bullies picking on them shamelessly.
The Boy Bullies - Dumb-bell, Score, and Hoops were Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash’s childhood oppressors. These three would call them very hurtful names, like “Rainbow Crash” after she fell into a trash can and “Klutzerfly.” Little did they know that their bullying would play a really big role in the little fillies’ future. One day, a timid young Fluttershy attempted to fly but failed. After seeing the fail, a young Dumb-bell and Hoops started to harass Fluttershy of not being able to fly, only to be stood up to by Rainbow Dash. Rainbow challenged the two bullies in a race to defend Fluttershy’s honor. However, while racing, Dumb-bell crashed into a column and Hoops got spun out, and right after, Rainbow Dash performed a sonic rainboom and earned her cutie mark. But not just her. In fact, it was this event that caused Fluttershy to fall from Cloudsdale, and land in a forest, where she met the local wildlife, discovered that she could communicate with them, and after Rainbow’s sonic rainboom scared the animals, she realized her niche to care for all fauna and earned her her cutie mark. Not only that, but the race also caused the rest of their future friends to earn their cutie marks, and that they would all have a special connection with each other before even knowing one another.
The Boy Bullies returned years later, all grown-up and taking up employment as weather factory workers. But they never stopped bullying Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. One day, when the two mares returned to Cloudsdale for the Best Young Flyer competition, Hoops, Dumb-bell, and Score met up with them as they arrived and start teasing Rainbow on how she got kicked out of Flight School, how she supposedly didn’t have a chance on winning the competition, and how the sonic rainboom was supposedly an old mare’s tale (forgetting that Rainbow did actually perform it a long time ago), which really brought her down. A short time after Rainbow’s friends arrived to Cloudsdale and had touring the weather factory, the three stallions had nothing against Rarity as they admired the new wings that were made by Twilight Sparkle. Just another insult to the injury. However, after they witnessed Rainbow Dash saving the Wonderbolts and Rarity when her wings were singed by the sun, and thus won the competition, the bullies came to gain respect for Rainbow, and apologized to her for giving her a hard time. Although she forgave them, Rainbow rejected their offer to hang out with them, and chose to hang out with the Wonderbolts. Hopefully, those three finally learned that being a bully is no fun at all.
After our six little fillies grew up and saved Equestria from Nightmare Moon, even they had to deal with others who thought lowly of them or didn’t respect the magic of friendship. But sometimes you can have a friend whose no true friend at all. Just as Rainbow Dash had bullies, she also had a toxic friend.
Gilda - The first griffon to be brought in MLP:FIM is Rainbow Dash’s old friend from the Junior Speedster flight camp. A long time ago, they first met when Gilda was a shy fledgling being bullied by Hoops, Dumb-bell, and Score for not flying, until Rainbow stood up for her. Through their mutual love of flying, Rainbow and Gilda became the best of friends.
While it seems their friendship remained strong all these years, Rainbow didn’t know that Gilda had developed a mean streak. When Pinkie Pie tried to join in on the duo’s time together, Gilda kept brushing her off in rude and menacing ways, going as far as threatening her. Then later on, while Rainbow left Gilda on her own to take care of some weather jobs around Ponyville, the griffon began causing trouble around town: She pranked Granny Smith by using her tail to fake a rattlesnake and stole an apple from a fruit stand. And much to Pinkie’s shock, Gilda roared furiously at Fluttershy, who was only trying to guide a family of ducks through town, to the point of tears. Gilda then left the scene, greatly annoyed by the presence of the ponies whom she deemed lame. Having spied Gilda’s mean behavior nearby, Pinkie resorted to “extreme measures” by throwing a party in Gilda’s honor, hoping to improve her attitude. Gilda attended the party, but, one by one, she fell for the pranks set up at the party, making her irritation more evident. She suspected that Pinkie was the one setting up the party pranks to demean her. After a mishap with “pin the tail on the pony”, Gilda finally snaped, insulting the party attendees and singling out Pinkie as “queen lame-o” with her party pranks, declaring that she and Rainbow Dash have “ten times as much cool” as the other ponies. But as she prepared to bail out with Rainbow at her side, Rainbow Dash revealed that she was the one responsible for all the pranks at the party and that they were not all meant for Gilda specifically. Gilda couldn’t believe this revelation and claimed that the party was all Pinkie Pie’s idea of revenge to make a fool of her. However, Pinkie defended her idea by saying she threw the party for Gilda to change the griffon’s attitude. Having seen Gilda’s true colors, Rainbow Dash disowned Gilda as a friend, telling her that if being cool was all she cared about, she should go find some new cool friends someplace else. Deeply hurt at losing her friend, Gilda tried to brush it off by calling Dash “a flip-flop: cool one minute, lame the next,” and she stormed off in rage. She returned to Griffonstone, and made a living selling griffon scones so she could save up enough bits to leave the decrepit kingdom for good.
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon - Diamond Tiara is the daughter of Ponyville’s successful businesspony and owner of Rich’s Barnyard Bargains, Filthy Rich, and the head of the Ponyville School board, Spoiled Rich. And that means she was a rich little filly. And for a long time that meant she was a very self-entitled, pompous pony. But she’s not the only rich filly, her best friend Silver Spoon is also from a wealthy family. They believed that they were superior to everypony their age, and that money and expensive baubles could buy happiness. They would enjoy poking fun at ponies she thinks are lacking and behind the times. And this pretentious pair especially and shamelessly enjoyed teasing foals who haven’t gotten their cutie marks, calling them “blank flanks.” So mean!
Even Applejack’s little sister, Apple Bloom, would always be made fun at by the snobbish fillies for not having her cutie mark. One day, Diamond Tiara was hosting a cute-ceañera party to celebrate getting her cutie mark, and she invited Apple Bloom to come, even though it meant mocking her for being a “blank flank.” After failed attempts to get her mark, Apple Bloom tried to hide her empty flank by covering it with a tablecloth, insisting that she didn’t want to steal attention away from the party’s guest of honor. However, when she accidentally exposes her “blank flank”, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon immediately made fun of her. Just then, two other blank flanks named Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle spoke up for Apple Bloom. They, Twilight Sparkle, and Applejack explained that being a blank flank means that one has not yet discovered one’s true potential. As a result, the guests crowded around Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo, who together formed the Cutie Mark Crusaders with their mission to earn their marks. At the same time, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were no longer the center of attention, and watched on, upset that they lost the crowd to a trio of “blank flanks.” This would soon be the beginning of an enmity between Cutie Mark Crusaders and the two mean fillies.
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon would continue to be the bane of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Before Family Appreciation Day at school, Diamond made fun of Apple Bloom again and Granny Smith for her strange behavior, remarking how humiliating it would be if Granny Smith spoke to her class. But after Granny Smith impressed Apple Bloom’s class with her presentation of how she helped found Ponyville, Diamond Tiara openly denigrated her. But in the end, her father forced her to participate in singing to the water cans, much to her frustration. Later on, Diamond Tiara became the editor-in-chief of the Ponyville Schoolhouse’s Foal Free Press newsletter. She appointed the Crusaders as writers for the gossip column. Diamond Tiara was impressed by the Crusaders’ gossip articles and called the gossip column her “bread and butter”. When the Crusaders considered resigning to avoid hurting ponies’ feelings, Diamond Tiara blackmailed them into continuing with embarrassing photos. However, after the Crusaders submitted an open letter of their apology to all of the residents of Ponyville for the pain and embarrassment that they caused, Cheerilee stripped Diamond Tiara of her position, replacing her with Featherweight and demoting her to printing press operator.
The pretentious pair eventually got themselves another ally to pick on the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Before the Summer Harvest Parade took place, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon started mocking the trio’s parade float. Apple Bloom’s cousin Babs Seed joined Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon in bullying the Crusaders until they saved her from a sabotaged float. Before Babs left Ponyville, Diamond Tiara bemoaned her and Silver Spoon being left with the “blank flanks”. Babs thus turned on them and threatened to tell their mothers about their behavior. In fear, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon fell in a mud puddle. Before the Equestria Games arrived, the Cutie Mark Crusaders wanted to be Ponyville’s flag bearers in the games. Realizing that the Crusaders could win with their routine, they began to undermine Scootaloo’s confidence by mocking her inability to fly. However, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle reminded Scootaloo that it’s their differences that make them great, and the Crusaders won the right to be flag bearers, much to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon’s displeasure.
After Twilight Sparkle became a princess, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon pined to be in her presence. And when they learned of the Crusaders’ personal learning sessions with Princess Twilight, they asked to come along. After this initial encounter, Diamond and Silver told the rest of their classmates about Twilight Time and pressured the Crusaders into letting them spend time with Twilight as well. When the Crusaders later try to excluded Diamond and the others from Twilight Time, Diamond and Silver led the other foals to the Golden Oak Library against their wishes. When the Crusaders were unable to perform the tasks they’d been learning during Twilight Time, Diamond mocked them, saying they weren’t Twilight’s “entourage” any more. At this, Twilight remarked that none of the other foals came to Twilight Time to learn, and Diamond and Silver left the library in disappointment among her classmates. Will these arrogant fillies ever learn…
Garble - He the first dragon Spike tried to befriend, but with no success. After observing the Great Dragon Migration with his pony friends, Spike started to question his dragon roots. He then set out to join the dragon migration on a quest of self discovery. At a volcano, Spike joined a gang of teenage dragons, led by Garble, a big, red brute of a bully who looked down on ponies as “namby-pamby”. When he and his gang found out that Spike lived among ponies, they challenged him to prove his dragonhood through a series of tests. Twilight, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash, disguised as a dragon, stepped in to ensure Spike would not get hurt in any activity, though he fails in all of them. But once he took on a challenge on his own, he earned the dragons’ respect, with Garble accepting him into the gang. Spike was thrilled until the dragons started terrorizing animals, attempted to raid a nest of phoenix eggs using Spike to lure the phoenixes away, and coercing him to destroy the eggs. Spike, seeing what bad-natured bullies Garble and his gang were, he refused. Just before Garble and the other dragons prepared to do him great harm, Spike’s pony friends revealed themselves and saved Spike. Garble would not forget this, and so an enmity was formed between him and Spike and his pony pals.
A year later or so, all the dragons were summoned to the Dragonlands, including Spike. Dragonlord Torch announced that he was stepping down and he was holding the Gauntlet of Fire, a perilous challenge designed to dub the new Dragon Lord. Spike initially had no interest in competing, but he overheard Garble planning on using the title of Dragon Lord to attack Equestria; the bully held a grudge against Spike and his friends, and wanted revenge by destroying their home. Spike reluctantly chose to stay and compete to ensure Equestria’s safety. Just when Spike managed to reach the Bloodstone Scepter, Garble was right behind him, and tossed him into the rock pit. Just then, Torch’s daughter, Princess Ember, swooped down and saved Spike, admitting to herself that the two of them are indeed friends. Sacrificing her own win, Ember held off Garble, while Spike went ahead to retrieve the scepter. Before giving the scepter and title of Dragon Lord to Ember, Spike ordered Garble to hug any dragon he saw, much to his misery.
Later on, Garble came across the Pegasus legend, Flash Magnus’ shield as a gorge-surfing board. Unwilling to give up the shield, he challenged Spike and Rainbow Dash, who came to retrieve it, to a gorge-surfing race for it. Spike beat Garble over the finish line, but rather than relinquish the shield, he attempted to attack Spike instead. Rainbow Dash intervened and tricked Garble into relinquishing the shield by challenging him to another race and convincing him to put the shield down to fly faster. As Garble flew the race, Rainbow and Spike flew away with the shield.
Iron Will - This muscle-bound minotaur would travel throughout Equestria as an inspirational speaker. Iron Will has an enormous ego and often refers to himself in the third person because he loves to hear his own name. As a self-help guru, he often holds seminars to show ponies how to boost their confidence. Although he loves to inspire other ponies and would never do ill to others unless they crossed him, he is cunning, legalistic, and somewhat deceptive. But we’ll see how his actions make him an antagonist Twilight and her friends dealt with. He first came to Ponyville as a self-help guru hosting a seminar to help ponies with their confidence and become assertive. Fluttershy was among the ponies who attended; she wanted to be assertive. Iron Will gave Fluttershy advice on how not to let anypony treat her as a doormat or a pushover, with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, or she doesn’t need to pay. However, Iron Will’s lessons on being assertive were more like how to be aggressive as Fluttershy began to act rude and pushy that even her friends admit they miss the polite and considerate Pegasus they knew and love. Seeing how she upset Rarity and Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy confronted Iron Will when he came to collect his payment from her, and she calmly told him she was NOT satisfied with his program and wouldn’t pay as such. Although caught off guard by being told “no” by somepony, he proved to be a minotaur of his word, and left. But the next time he would return, it would be a very dark turn for him.
A couple of moons later, Iron Will returned as the host for a zeppelin cruise (the assertive seminar market dried up). He sent Twilight Sparkle and her family tickets, but as part of a plan to use Twilight and Cadance’s fame to increase passengers. When Twilight discovered who was hosting the cruise, she confronted Iron Will, and that he revealed the vacation that Twilight’s parents won was actually a themed vacation for ponies to spend time with Princess Twilight and Princess Cadance. Twilight didn’t approve of Iron Will for his less-than-honest business practices, but Iron Will argued that everything about the vacation was outlined in the consent forms that Twilight’s parents signed. Iron Will offered to cancel the cruise for Twilight but proceeded to guilt trip her by mentioning she would end up disappointing both the passengers and her vacation-craving family. Twilight reluctantly agreed to Iron Will’s activity schedule as long as her family got to enjoy themselves. This, however, ruined the cruise for her, and she even missed the Northern Stars. After a spat with her family and reconciling later on, Twilight and her family tried to enjoy the cruise having ice cream. When Iron Will suddenly barged in and announced ice cream with Princess Twilight to the other cruise attendees. Star Tracker, one of Twilight’s fans and honorary family member for a day, told the minotaur to leave her alone, only for Iron Will to scare him into submission. Finally, Twilight decided that enough was enough, and asked the other passengers to allow her her some time with her family. The other passengers, having been told that Twilight was a part of the cruise from the start, turned on Iron Will, who retorted that he had never actually promised that a princess would appear. When the passengers angrily turned against Iron Will for his sneaky business scheme, the minotaur parachuted off the ship, refusing to refund their money.
Although he was temporarily hired Iron Will by Discord to be a substitute teacher at the School of Friendship, he still used his aggressive lessons, and told the students that they have to “make” friends by being overly forceful. Hopefully, he’ll accept that assertive and aggressive are not the same, and that you should never be dishonest in the bargain.
Lightning Dust - When Rainbow Dash came to the Wonderbolts Academy, she met somepony who was very much like her in almost every way. Lightning Dust shares Rainbow’s love for flying fast, confidence, and highly competitive. The two cadets immediately became friends. However, when they were training together, more of Lightning’s personality was unveiled. Lightning Dust’s passion for testing her limits revealed that she is very reckless and shows little concern for anyone who becomes a victim of her actions. She also has a bigger ego than Rainbow Dash. When she became team leader, she ignored wingpony Rainbow Dash’s injury during an academy team exercise and brushed off the fact that her tornado put Rainbow Dash’s friends in danger. Her recklessness and utter disregard for the safety of others eventually led to her being kicked out of the academy and her team leader status being given to Rainbow Dash.
After her dishonorable discharge, Lightning decided to give up training to be a Wonderbolt, and instead started the Washouts, a professional stunt team comprised of fellow ex-Wonderbolts, like Rolling Thunder and Short Fuse. She and her team members would do away with many of the Wonderbolts’ safety regulations and perform far more death-defying stunts. When Scootaloo was left in awestruck, Lightning Dust offered her a spot in the Washouts, but Rainbow Dash forebade it. Eventually, Lightning Dust recruited Scootaloo into the team. Although Lightning Dust claimed to have acknowledged that she went too far during Wonderbolts training, she proved that she didn’t learn anything from her dismissal. And since she intended to have Scootaloo perform an extremely dangerous stunt (in spite of her growing protests), Lightning clearly had no qualms over endangering the little filly’s life during a performance. Luckily for Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash intervened before she got seriously hurt during her debut. As for Lightning Dust, her hoof got caught on a rope attached to Scootaloo’s stunt rocket as it took off into the sky, and she was dragged along with it. As she was pulled into the sky, she declared that she and Rainbow Dash are “rivals for life”. It may be a while though until the two would clash as the reckless Lightning is most likely in a full body wing and hoof cast… DRINKING THROUGH A STRAW!!!
Suri Polomare - Rarity may be a generous and talented fashionista, but she would come to grips with another fashion designer who remorselessly took advantage of her generosity. It was Fashion Week in Manehattan, and Rarity would participate in the event. Although she arrived late for Prim Hemline’s rehearsal, she was still in the game, despite that she would have to show off her fabrics last. She soon met one of her fellow designers, an old acquaintance at a Ponyville knitting competition - Suri Polomare. She was an aspiring fashionista, but struggled with her line, m’kay? While backstage with Rarity, she takes a look at Rarity’s dresses, complimenting her on her designs. Appreciating the material Rarity used to make the dresses, Suri asked Rarity for a swatch of the fabric to fix up some of her own dresses. Rarity happily obliged and gave her an entire bolt of fabric. This, however, proved to be her big mistake. She discovered that Suri created an entire line of dresses with Rarity’s fabric and passed them off as her own! When Rarity confronted the thief, Suri explained shamelessly that “it was everypony for herself in the big city, m’kay?” Of course, the real seamstress helping Suri was her abused assistant Coco Pommel. This scandal all resulted in Rarity having her friends create a new line overnight without a break, their plans cancelled, and when they finished she took them for display without so much as a thank you. Fortunately, Rarity realized she was acting like a horrible friend and rushed off to find her pony pals, but she couldn’t find them. Believing that her friends returned to Ponyville in anger towards Rarity, she rushed back to the plaza to thank Prim for the opportunity. Suri, however, told Rarity that Prim was “furious” and that she should stay away from her for a while. Once Rarity’s friends turned up, it was revealed that Suri also told them that Rarity lost the competition. But Rarity accepted the defeat and left with her friends to see Hinny of the Hills, while Suri believed she won in the end… or did she. It turned out that Suri lied to Rarity and her friends about the competition’s outcome and that Rarity had indeed won. Coco stated that the deceitful designer had hoped Rarity’s failure to claim the prize would allow her to win first place. Good thing abusing your assistants is a one-ticket to losing everything in the end, even your assistant who practically makes your fabric. So it looks like the petty plagarist will have no more fabrics to sew again, m’kay?
Spoiled Rich - Diamond Tiara was a pretentious brat from the start of the series, and all her misdeeds and bullying made her hated by many of her fellow students. But nopony knew the truth. That she was never a total bully after all. And that the real oppressor of the Cutie Mark Crusaders and anypony Diamond tortured was actually her mother… SPOILED RICH! The haughty, self-centered mare was once Spoiled Milk before she married Filthy Rich, but the first name sticks even if the surname changed. Spoiled always thinks she’s better than the other ponies in Ponyville, simply because she’s rich. She always believed that as a rich pony, one must always think of one’s social standing. Spoiled is even the head of the Ponyville Schoolhouse board, though it’s to make sure that Diamond Tiara would have a significant spot in school, from editor-in-chief for the school newspaper or school president. She expected her daughter to follow in her hoofsteps by placing high expectations and verbally abusing her for any failure.
One day, however, things were not in Spoiled Rich’s favor. The Cutie Mark Crusaders helped their classmate Pipsqueak win their class’s student president election against Diamond Tiara. As Pip’s campaign managers, the Crusaders encouraged the students to vote for him, and he won! Diamond Tiara was very upset for her loss, though her snooty behavior was the last straw for her best friend, Silver Spoon; when Diamond ignored Silver’s advice she voted for Pip, and disowned Diamond as her friend. And to make things worse, Diamond Tiara was reprimanded by her mother for failing to live up to their family’s social status (she probably berated her for no longer being editor-in-chief). Feeling sorry for Diamond Tiara, the Cutie Mark Crusaders offered to help her change her ways so she can earn her classmates’ support. Diamond Tiara revealed that she wanted to be a better pony, and she even doubted about her cutie mark helping her become as such. The Crusaders told her that she did have it in her to change and offered her their hooves in friendship. But when they learned Pipsqueak was unable to fulfill any of his promises as student president, Diamond Tiara attempted to replace him to regain her mother’s favor. But when Diamond arrived at the schoolhouse, her mother was waiting for her. With the Crusaders’ persuasion, however, Diamond Tiara ultimately stood up to her mean-spirited mother when she accosted her again for fraternizing with “confused, insignificant lowlifes.” Diamond told her mother that she thought she was happy with her snooty life, but she acknowledged that she didn’t want to end up like Spoiled; having no friends. Diamond then asked Spoiled to deliver Filthy Rich a school donation request, causing Spoiled Rich to back down.
Despite no longer controlling her now philanthropic daughter, Spoiled Rich still believes that she is superior to everypony. Even after she was applying to be Starlight Glimmer’s vice headmare at the School of Friendship, she wanted to leave her mark in anyway. After she expressed her intention to have parts of the school named after her and taught the students poor lessons in loyalty, Starlight rejected her application, making her the first candidate removed from the running. To Diamond Tiara, she’s a mother most dear. To everypony else, she’s a pain in the rear.
Svengallop - Countess Coloratura is one of Equestria’s hottest pop stars. However, her flamboyant former manager, Svengallop, was a different story. He was bossy and scheming, and often exploited her celebrity status for his own personal gain. And to make it worse, he hated the charity events and schoolpony constests. In fact, when Coloratura and her band arrived to Ponyville for the Helping Hooves Music Festival charity event, he assumed an overbearing role in Coloratura’s career, disapproving of her interactions with “common” ponies. During his time in Ponyville, Svengallop made numerous unreasonable demands to Pinkie Pie: like floral arrangements from the royal Canterlot gardens; chocolate éclairs made by Gustave le Grand; a selection of crystals from the Crystal Empire; freshly picked cherries from Cherry Jubilee’s farm separated red from yellow; premium oats, and 500 pre-peeled, pre-cored apples delivered in 24 hours. When Pinkie protested that it was impossible, he threatened to pull Coloratura out of the festival if Pinkie did not comply.
Applejack attempted to convince Coloratura of Svengallop’s unscrupulous managing, but Coloratura wouldn’t believe her. Fortunately, Twilight Sparkle recorded Svengallop’s backdoor dealings with Pinkie Pie, demanding her to schedule a spa appointment “or the diva ditches [the] ‘dippy’ charity,” and Coloratura finally realized the truth, outraged that her manager has been using her fame to manipulate others. When confronted by the furious singer, Svengallop reprimanded her love for the charity events and schoolpony contests as remnants of the “boring” mare he found before her fame. Then, he told her that the show would fall apart without him and left in a huff, ending his conversation with a spurned “Good luck, Countess Coloratura! Good luck.” Unfortunately for him, Coloratura turned out to be a success with a simple piano concert, and continues to be one of Equestria’s best singers. As for Svengallop, he was last seen in Las Pegasus, gambling to make ends meet. And judging by his depressed state, all I could say to perhaps the worst pony ever - “Good luck, Svengallop! Good luck.”
Zesty Gourmand - The Canterlot elite wouldn’t visit a restaurant in the city unless it had the Three-Hoof Rating from one of its most esteemed food critic, the “Queen of Cuisine”: Zesty Gourmand. She is even the creator the three-hoof rating—whereby she judged a restaurant for its cuisine, decor, and presentation. Since only the elites would dine only at establishments the distinguished Unicorn reviewed, restaurants without her stamp of approval could severally struggle. However, she believed that fine cuisine must have “subtle flavors.” It was her influence on making or breaking restaurants to make every establishment the same, even though they have the same mediocre flavors.
This alerted the Cutie Map to summon Rarity and Pinkie to Canterlot. Rarity, who held Zesty in such high esteem, refused to give their patronage to establishments that weren’t reviewed by Zesty. Pinkie Pie, however, started to question Zesty Gourmand’s authority when she discovered that that all of the restaurants which have received scores of three from her were virtually identical. So, Pinkie decided to choose a restaurant, and came across a father/daughter-run restaurant called the Tasty Treat without any rating that Pinkie found delicious. The owners, Coriander Cumin and Saffron Masala, struggled to keep their restaurant open in Canterlot because Zesty Gourmand refused to dignify their exotic establishment with a visit. This prompted Rarity and Coriander to renovate the restaurant to conform to Zesty’s three-hoof standard. Zesty Gourmand agreed to evaluate the restaurant at Rarity’s insistence. When the restaurant reopened, Zesty was unimpressed. After being stricken in the face by one of the dishes, she left, advising Rarity as a friend to keep her opinions within her own field of work. Further conversation spurred Zesty to explain some of her philosophy: that subtle tastes, not quality of flavor, are the true hallmark of culinary art. However, after Rarity realized her mistake, she encouraged the restaurant to have a grand re-opening exactly in the style of food they love. When the Tasty Treat seemed to be succeeding in spite of her unpleasant evaluation, Zesty Gourmand appeared once more at the scene to rebuke the citizens of Canterlot for ignoring her judgment. Rarity and Pinkie confronted Zesty, and argued to her that no one should tell other ponies what to think, not even Zesty. Inspired by Pinkie and Rarity’s words, the other restaurant owners decided to cook what they want instead of following strict societal trends. After a brief pause, she harrumphed and stormed outside. It is unknown what became of her, but it’s likely that she lost her job and her credibility.
Chancellor Neighsay - Neighsay is the headpony of the Equestrian Education Association (EEA), a board of scholars who oversee all schools in Equestria. He can be very strict and conservative, insistent that all schools under the EEA’s authority follow its guidelines. He is convinced that his way of doing things is the right way, and allows no other opinions to dissuade him, even disregarding Princess Celestia herself supporting the decisions of those who don’t follow the EEA’s authority. What was shocking though was his xenophobia toward non-pony creatures, seeing them as dangerous and even went as far as to disrespect them while in their presence. Despite his rough personality, he does appear to care for the quality of education and the safety of pony students, justifying his actions and beliefs as being for the greater good of Equestria.
However, he didn’t support Twilight Sparkle’s goal of opening up her own school. After she met up with Neighsay and his association in order to get her new School of Friendship approved. The Chancellor approved the school with the conditions that they strictly follow the EEA’s guidelines and not leave the school unattended to go off on their friendship adventures. In addition, he approved it under the assumption that it will be a school for ponies only, and will teach its students how to protect themselves from other creatures. However, Twilight asked her friends be the professors, even though they were not accredited instructors, and she invited five non-pony creatures to attend, intent on teaching friendship to all walks of life. At first, the students and teachers initially enjoyed the school, but grew bored and frustrated by the EEA’s strict teaching guidelines. Neighsay later payed a visit to the school to check on Twilight’s progress, just as the new students, the Young Six, decided to cut class for the afternoon. Twilight, Starlight Glimmer, and Rainbow Dash tried distract him by giving him a tour of the school and summarizing the main points of its curriculum. The Young Six returned in time for Friends and Family Day, but ended up causing chaos at the event. Upon seeing that non-ponies were enrolled at the school, Neighsay revealed his prejudice toward other creatures and insinuated that they would use the school’s lessons against Equestria. Neighsay’s racist sentiments insulted the non-pony creature leaders that they pulled their students out of the school. Determining that Twilight failed to uphold the guidelines and standards of the EEA by enrolling non-pony students and having her friends being illegitmate instructors, Chancellor Neighsay closed the School of Friendship and locked its doors with a magical seal. Twilight finally stood up to the Chancellor and told him the school would reopen with a new set of rules. Neighsay insisted that the school’s non-pony element would be dangerous and unpredictable, but his views were opposed not only by Twilight but also Princess Celestia. The Chancellor eventually relented and lefy, warning that Twilight’s school could potentially destroy Equestria.
Sludge - Garble was not the only bad dragon Spike and his friends dealt with. In fact, this one was REALLY bad. Sludge was unlike any other dragon: lazy, opportunistic, and deceptive. This fat bum of a dragon hated living the hard life the rest of his draconian kin lived. So he would find a place where he could live in luxury and style… and have a pillow to sleep on, even if it meant tricking anycreature he spotted. And Spike was the perfect sap. Sludge came to Ponyville in a big fireball. Crash-landing near Spike and Smolder, he weakily got up on his feet and ended up with a broken arm and sprained wings (or it seemed to be). Spike takes him to the Castle of Friendship to recover. The Mane Six offered to let him stay until he got back on his feet. Sludge was resistant to accept help from ponies at first, but he accepted, and they nursed him back to health. Before departing from Ponyville, Sludge made a shocking reveal that he was Spike’s father. He told a transparently fabricated story of how Spike was orphaned as an egg, and the two proceeded to engage in several father/son activities together. When Sludge later commented how little like a dragon Spike is due to growing up among ponies, he—at Twilight Sparkle’s suggestion—decided to show Spike how to be a real dragon. By the end, Sludge effectively took over Spike’s bedroom and got Spike to do everything for him, while the little dragon was forced to sleep outside the castle. However, some time later, after Spike explained to Smolder about Sludge, that he was teaching him to be like a real dragon, and what he was making Spike do, Smolder made it clear that dragons are many things but not lazy lumps who take advantage of their own young, and she assumed correctly Sludge is treating Spike like a servant instead of a son. When Spike—at Smolder’s suggestion—wanted to move himself and Sludge to an uncomfortable cave so they could live like real dragons, a panicked Sludge confessed that he was not Spike’s father and only pretended to be in order to live a life of castle luxury. Spike was heartbroken by this deception, but Sludge argued that he simply did what any other dragon would have done in the same situation—a point of view that Smolder (and any other dragon for that matter) strongly disagreed with. Sludge took his leave of Ponyville (and even took one of Spike’s pillows). While Spike may never find his true parents, he found his true family - his friends, and they are not bullies and jerks!
The Bullies and Jerks by me
Background by me
This features all the antagonists from within the seasons, and the movie. And there are baddies to come. :o (Eek) ;) (Wink)
Edited
She is an antagonist, not a villain.
Well, Zesty doesn’t count as a villain. Neither do Prince Blueblood, Jet Set and Upper Crust, Wrangler, Hard Hat, and Dandy Grandeur.
Zesty was more antagonistic than the others listed. I mean, what is so friendly about forcing restaurants to serve food only you prefer and only want them to serve, the exact presentation that comes with it, and change the decor the establishment the way you like it? She was like Starlight Glimmer (before her reformation) and food/architecture communists.
Well technically, Prince Blueblood, Jet Set and Upper Crust, Zesty Gourmand, Wrangler, Hard Hat, and Dandy Grandeur are not villains. But they’re very friendly. Despite them being jerks.
Is she evil? No. Is she a jerk? Yes! This pic is all about the jerks and bullies, not villains. She wasn’t a villain, BUT she was an antagonist in her debut episode; she blackmailed other restaurants to serve the food she preferred, the presentation that came with it, and the establishment’s décor in exchange for a three-hoof rating, which would result in the restaurant’s survival. There are many other sources that made it clear that she is an antagonist because of her domineering affect on the restaurants in Canterlot and her offensive interaction with ponies who don’t agree with her “subtle” (very strange and flavorless) tastes that she forced them to accept if they wanted to stay in business.
Well, why?
Well, you got all of it correct.

That’s what he is. After all, if he wasn’t an antagonist, then he wouldn’t have been added to the image above.
Lightning Dust was robbed big time.
