It really is a pity how many good liners we’ve lost over the decades. SS United States may not my favorite, but she definitely deserves better than to rot at a pier.

That would be absolutely horrible. Steel doesn’t really “live on” underwater.
Well that ain’t gonna happen.
The SS United States will stay afloat.
