Something is certainly wrong with the image display. If I load up the original image posted into Photoshop and put the dark theme background behind it. It looks correct. But when I display it in full size on the website, the transparency isn’t perfect, and differs slightly everywhere. This itself shouldn’t cause any issue, but for some reason, the shade of the colour is different too.
 
It’s probably something wrong with Chrome or websites in general. Because as said, loading the exact image provided by Derpobooru into a different software, it is displayed correctly.

I think it has to do with the way the site optimizes images, since I’ve noticed some slight color discrepancies between my uploads and the originals. The illusion effect works by having all of the colors of her horsecock the same color as the dark theme background, but just set to different transparencies and surrounded by a full transparency – on the light theme the white bleeds through and creates different shades, while on the dark they become invisible. So the optimization would only have to change the color a single hex value, which’d be indistinguishable on any other image, to somewhat mess it up :D
 
You can see how the optimization can throw off dark shades on this image, for example. When you full-size it, it becomes distinctly lighter. Look at the difference when I put them side-by-side :D

It vanishes completely when I overlay my original image file over a screenshot of the site, so I think the site’s image optimization changes the color a bit :D  

 
I’ve noticed other little issues too, like this character is a LOT darker than she should be when not full-sized. It’s just hard to know how something’s going to look before you upload :P

They’re colored the exact same color as the background colors of the light and dark themes, respectively. The outlines are just set to different levels of transparency so they blend with more of the opposing background. The craters and shadow on the moon are more transparent than the rest, so they appear darker against the dark theme, while the fill of the dick is more transparent so it appears lighter against the light theme. Then they just vanish completely against the other themes since all the transparencies combine to make the same color :D

Funny… I can’t really go to dark theme… not by losing certain vintage settings, apparently… hahahah

Exactly, the “compressed” version makes the pixels visibile, but you just need to full size the image and it’s perfectly fine  
Also the night Sky Is transparent too, so there’s no difference in colore, since there’s no color

Yep. Partial transparencies for her outlines and mane, a complete transparency for her body, and objects that vanish completely like the moon or her cock are the exact same color as the bg of the site just set to different levels of transparency so they vanish completely against it :D

It’s a drawback to the site’s optimization I think. If you look at the original image file on my computer, it vanishes completely against the background. If you full-size the image it looks a lot better too :D

Arts like this really make light mode a lot more useful than any other site.

You can actually still see the cock in the dark theme, it’s just very faint. The outline is highly visible though.
