@derroflcopter There aren’t a terribly large number of fundamental virtues, so any human culture’s classification will map to the Elements reasonably well. For instance, Haidt’s moral foundations map pretty well:
 
Caring/harm avoidance: kindness  
Fairness: honesty  
Loyalty: gee  
Liberty: laughter  
Authority: magic  
Sanctity: Well, not so much with generosity, which would go more toward care or fairness, depending on its motivation. But 5 out of 6 ain’t bad, and Rarity’s certainly a neatnik!

The Elements of Harmony seem to be an extension/offshoot of the three virtues of faith, hope and love.
