No, it’s up to each fan’s interpretation- personally, I think they have live births since both their back halves are mammalian.
Perhaps, but again, they’re mythical creatures, so who knows.
Even if they are, their offspring would probably be born sterile, like mules, ligers and tigons.

I dunno, they’re mythical half-bird (in this particular universe) creatures - I like to think they are compatible.
