slightly blinded at the age of seven and watching his parents split nearly half a year later was pretty terrible for this dainty kiddo at that time. his mother neglected him, and he had no contact with his twin sister at all which nearly killed him with sadness because she and him were so close. but with few visits every now and then, he was able to cope somewhat but it still never felt quite the same without her.
 
johnny has always been a timid foal, he was often pretty afraid to speak up and often preferred to stay in the background. but fate played quite the hilarious joke when he fell for a dark coated alicorn who defended him from some bullies. what fool would allow themselves to fall for johnny though? this knight in shining armor… was far more than he. but, it was the first time in a while that he’d felt a little confidence. and he would persue that feeling. for his knight.
 
 
johnny is still a pretty shy and insecure stallion, his mother neglecting him didn’t help either. so it was pretty common to see him living with twilight and her family. but even if he was neglected it didn’t stop him from working his part to help the farm.
 
this resulted in johnny’s rather.. bulky. form. but it seemed like he couldn’t do anything right. because even though he was strong and could bridal carry you without a blink of an eye, he still had his own struggles. johnny has some sight issues when he tried to impress his father with an advanced spell he’d learned from a book he borrowed from a friend. this ended up scarring up johnny and now his eye sight tends to be a bit more come and go. some days its fine and some days he can’t see at all. it’s effected his life quite a bit, but he was able to adjust though quite slowly due to the inconsistency of it.
 

 
this guy has quite a few friends, though mostly he hangs with magic students of twilight’s private tuturing lessons. but in his free time he goes to aunty twilight’s place to learn magic and plans to leave ponyville one day to become a wandering mage to learn as much magic as he can.
