“I knew you could do it, Pearl. She is just as beautiful as her sister.”
 
“Thanks, Twily. But shouldn’t you be resting?”
 
“And miss this? Not on your life, Rosey. I wouldn’t leave you alone, not for this. Just like you stood by my side for Sunrise.” Twilight levitates Sunrise over to see her new sister. “Say hello to your sister, Sunrise.”
 
Sunrise and Winter didn’t take much prodding, and were soon snuggling together, holding each other with a wing and hooves. Twilight and Pearl eventually gave up trying to get them apart.
 
“I guess we don’t need to worry about that then. So what’s her name, Pearl? I picked Sunrise’s name. It’s only fair you get to pick her sister’s name.”
 
“Winter Rose. If Sunrise is the new dawn for Equestria. Then Winter is the dark before the dawn. I doubt she’ll ever take it the wrong way. I hope. She has your coat, and ponies did say you and Luna could be related. Rose because… Well, she is as beautiful as a rose.”
 
“Winter Rose it is, then. I can’t think of a better name.”

While, technically, Sunrise is the elder sister of the two, Sunrise refuses the idea that it makes her better in any way to her sister. Anypony who says as much tends to get a slap upside the head, courtesy of Sunrise’s wing. Both of them if she’s really annoyed.
 
And if Twilight or Pearl hear about it, or are there when it happens, the pony in question usually ends up in the Royal Hospital with a splitting headache, as this is one of the few things that will cause the two to drop the princess masks and go full-on Moma Bear.
 
For her part, Winter finds the whole thing funny. She knows she is the younger sister but has never once held it against Sunrise. The two are all but inseparable and are each other’s best friends. Both know their mothers love them, and they love their mothers.
 
In fact, the afternoon has been set aside specifically so that they can all spend time together. On particularly sunny days, Twilight and Pearl can be seen with their daughters flying above Ponyville.
 
Just spending and enjoying their time with their family.
