My father… was… a doormat… and a pansy.
And one night, he whimpers louder than usual.
Mommy gets the cheer-up pills to help him out.
He doesn’t like that. Not. One. Bit.
So… me watching, he takes the pills to her, moping while he does it, turns to me and says “Why so assertive?”
He comes at me with the pills.
“WHY SO ASSERTIVE!?”
He sticks the whole bottle in my mouth.
“LET’S MAKE YOU IMMUNE TO THAT STUFF!”
Annnd…
