“Please Khallie?”
“What? No, are you actually serious?”
“Khal,” tears began to well under Damon’s eyes. “Just for a few hours, please?”
Khaleesi let out a puff of air. “You’re supposed to be the older one. You know, the mature one. And I know you’re not actually crying,” she rolled her eyes. “You can stop with the show.”
He stared at her, eyes wide and watery, leaning forward. She couldn’t help but glance down at him, then groaned as she saw how pathetically desperate he was.
“Ugh, fine, fine, you win. Three hours, tops.”
“Four?”
“Don’t push it.”
Damon embraced her in a hug too tight for her comfort, and she growled in annoyance.
“Love you, love you, love you!” Damon spoke into her fur. Khaleesi pushed him away with a single paw.
“Yeah, yeah, love you too.” In a surge of dimensional magic, Khal’s body shrank so that she was shorter than her brother. Now looking up at him, she noticed his big toothy smile and rolled her eyes again. “Go get her,” she couldn’t help but let a little grin slip past her famous poker face.

- Khaleesi is about 5 years younger than Damon, but she outgrew him by a lot. She outgrew her own father Discord, too, and towers over Celestia even when sitting. Damon is pretty average height for a draconequus, while Khal completely surpassed expectations.
- She has very stretchy skin around her neck, which contributes a lot to how tall she looks. Her neck is incredibly flexible, too, so she has an easy time bending it in multiple directions. She’s slouching here but she’s still taller than her big bro.
- Damon feels super small next to her which he honestly doesn’t really mind, unless Cassie’s around. Then he feels very conscious about his height, and often convinces Khaleesi to be his wingwoman and make him look a lil better by magically shrinking himself. It’s this unspoken “pls just help me out no questions asked” kinda thing because he’s embarrassed about it, but Khal complies (most of the time). He’s never admitted to liking Cassie, but Khal’s not dumb. She knows.
- I don’t think I’ve ever drawn them together, but now that they’re side by side, Damon’s way more “presentable” and considered more pony-friendly than Khal is. Maybe it’s her teeth or her monstrous features, her height, the visible tone of her muscles, but she’s often pushed aside a lot despite being a member of the royal family.
- Khal grows a mane around her chest (like the one Damon has) during wintertime. Damon’s is year-round.
- I tweaked their colors just a tinyyyy bit. Mostly with saturation. Also decided to take away the tuft of fur on Damon’s tail to make it appear more reptilian
- They’re incredibly close. They’ve never been in a fight (unless you count typical sibling banter) and they’re both extremely protective of each other.
