Not to be an ass, but what exactly is an “adventure in the comments”?

Remember…

Reminds me of when I go read Pokemon threads on other sites(mainly when new info comes in).

I wish I could spend all night doing an adventure thread like I used to.

Its pretty much an rp, but in comments and normally its an adventure so thats where the name came from

What does “Adventure in the comments” mean?  
Dumb question, I know. Excuse me for not being “nerdy” enough. :P

In fact, if I remember correctly, searching “derpibooru” on the site and clicking on our character sheet brings up a warning from the site’s managers treating the page with deletion. I don;t know if it still does, it’s been ages since I’ve used TV Tropes and ages more since I’ve viewed our page.

We did use to include non-“storyline” (if there even is one) characters, but TV Tropes removed them and threatened to take down the page, saying only those in our storyline could be included. Their site, their rules.
 
Everything else, I agree with. It feels like many adventures are just people trying to expand their trope page. The last good adventure I participated in was long ago, the one where Molly turned everyone into changelings.

Honestly I don’t like AitC half as well I should. I used to back when they were non-serious and self-contained.
 
But now there’s like some kind of overarching storyline and “serious” plotlines, it’s just gotten a bit too much for me. What’s the point in joining in a thread if it’s a continuation of something I know nothing about?
 
And don’t piss on my leg and call it rain, I’ve seen the Derpibooru tvtropes page. All it is a catalogue of what’s happened in the threads. The fact that you can’t even add someone to the character page unless they actively participate in the storyline strikes me as asinine.

But yeah, I see what you mean.

You know, we should have separate tags for different type of adventures. Casual, not-much-to-speak-of-here adventures and adventures with arcs should be tagged differently.
 
Or would that cause too much fighting when tag time comes?

But of course, I’d never instigate such a thing. I have goblins in my basement I need to be dealing with right now.
