I’m just gonna stick to calling her Rosey as a nickname and Pinkmane as the full name, because that’s what i’ve become used to over a decade.

I do think Rosemane is probably more accurate. First of all, it flows much nicer than Pinkmane: flower-based names are quite normal and sound good, while “pink mane” is kind of a weirder-sounding name; while it’s a pun in hungarian (and would be in many other languages, like French), I think the intention was firstly to have the name based on the flower, and then the color makes up the “pun”, rather than the other way around.
 
And secondly, “rose” can refer to a color even in English. It’s a less frequently used color name, but it’s a valid one, and sounds more poetic as a bonus - making for a more flattering name.
 
You can just post a request on the forums to alias oc:pinkmane with oc:rosemane so that people can use either to search, that way you don’t even have to go correct anything.
