remember in the zeoora episode, where they said something along the lines of “the forest functions without our interference, that’s unnatural” and it sparked many a dark theory about how the world is a magic-induced post-apocalypse, similar to that old aladdin one where genie is actually a holographic ai (though at least in mlp’s case they aknowledge it in-show, the aladdin one is based entirely on an easter egg found in a licensed game of aladdin). also semi-related, but the earlier seasons seemed alot more willing to get dark, like i think within the first or first two seasons there was at least one episode for each of the main cast having a mental breakdown.

I liked Sombra’s zombie soldiers and Chrissy’s neck twist.
